Remember The 8th was born from my affinity and proclivity with 8 and perceiving the ART in fashion and it’s differential genres.

Our monochrome colour scheme is the foundation of our brand, rooted in the simplicity of the 3 tones - Black, Grey and White. They are an absence and presence, Maison Margiela worded it best.

With the brand still being within it’s infancy, there is only so much we can detail but with RT8’s growth over time, we’ll peel back the layers of what each 8 represents for us.

Does 8 hold any significance for you?

Surah 8, Ayah 9 “Remember when you asked the help of your Lord and He answered you, Indeed I will reinforce you with a thousand from the Angels, following one another.”

I came across this surah during a time where I lacked motivation and courage to materialise RT8. I couldn’t explain the feeling when I stumbled across it. From it being the 8th surah in the Quran and the 9th ayah (8/9 being our birthdate) to the verse itself beginning with ‘remember’. When I feel I need grounding, I Remember The 8th surah.

With that being said, whenever you’re in doubt of your visions, still figuring out how to physically manifest it, going through writers block or simply fearful of how people will perceive your work, remember art is subjective and opinions aren’t definitive.

All it takes is expression of vision to become a cre8tive.
